Welcoming IU Kokomo Kids college

It was a pleasure to host the Kids College by Indiana University Kokomo on Friday, June 13th, for the very first official event in our new community Makerspace and NSE headquarters. We welcomed 55 sixth and seventh grade students from Justice Intermediate School in Marion for a full day of hands on learning.

Students worked in teams to design and test satellite payload containers with custom sensor boards. Throughout the day, they explored how to test pressure, temperature, and G-force and the effects on their payloads, getting a real world look at the engineering and testing process behind satellite design.
