Community STEM Makerspace Opening Summer 2025!

NearSpace Education is committed to the renovation and restoration of the historic building at 33 N Main Street

The Goal of the renovation project is to first, create a multi-use maker space and event hall, with the resources to run any number of hands on educational STEM activities and outreach events. 

Second is to create brand newย gatheringย space for the NearSpace Education team to expand into, with room to grow in our mission ofย inspiring,ย equipping, andย impactingย our youth with meaningful STEM engagement.

Community Stem Park

NSE has been renovating the land between the 79 E Railroad building and Main Street. This new renovation provides space for all of Grant County and surrounding areas to enjoy. It includes a amphitheater, learning center, a small creek, Tennessee boulders, mature trees, and a pergola with the capabilities for outdoor music and town events.
